Back in February, Ram announced its intention to launch a new truck – codenamed ''Adventurer'' – offering first-time buyers performance and style that they can customize and make their own. Today, we have learned that the 2011 Ram 1500 Express is officially coming to Canada.

The regular-cab pickup boasts a standard 5.7L HEMI V8 engine producing 390 horsepower and 407 lb-ft of torque. Other highlights include a choice of 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrain, chrome-tipped dual exhausts, fog lights and 20-inch wheels.
Available in Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Flame Red and Mineral Grey Metallic, the 2011 Ram 1500 Express also features climate control, a 6-speaker media centre with CD and MP3 player as well as behind-the-seat storage bins.
On the safety front, expect advanced multistage front airbags, supplemental side-curtain airbags, anti-lock 4-wheel disc brakes, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with traction control and the Sentry Key theft deterrent system.
At $27,495, the 2011 Ram 1500 Express demands an extra of only $1,000 over the price of a Ram 1500 ST.
